Registration and membership usually matter
Some lenders include pharmacists in their professional policies, usually tied to current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia through AHPRA. Others do not, so checking the lender’s list comes first.
Pharmacists earn in different ways: employed on a salary with weekend and after-hours rates, working as locums on an ABN, or owning a pharmacy. Each is assessed differently, and ownership usually means the lender reads business financials.
