Had a great experience with Charles at Links Property Finance. He made the whole home loan process straightforward and easy to understand, kept me updated throughout and was always quick to answer any questions.
Charles looked after us really well and his knowledge gave us the confidence to purchase our property. He wasn’t pushy and always ensured we felt comfortable with the repayments.
I have had a number of dealings with Charles from Links Property Finance. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and detailed with his advice. Importantly, he is very approachable and easy to deal with. His advice has been beneficial to myself and my acquaintances. I highly recommend him.

Why I started Links Property Finance
My first job in property was at an Inner West real estate agency, while I was studying commerce at the University of Sydney. I spent my days at open homes, rental checks and strata repairs.
That job showed me the side of property most people never see. Renters saving for years and still unsure whether a bank would ever say yes. Couples who had found the right place but had no one to tell them what they could really borrow.
I then spent years in finance, in wealth management and at a major Australian bank, working on how financial products are built and checked behind the scenes.
It taught me to read the detail most borrowers never get shown: the fees, the conditions and the fine print that decide whether a loan is right for you.
I kept coming back to those first home buyers. The biggest financial decision of their lives, and so many were getting rushed, generic advice. So I started Links Property Finance to do it differently.
The name is the promise. I want to be the link between where you are today and the keys in your hand: one person who answers the phone, explains the numbers plainly, compares the lenders properly and stays with you from the first conversation to settlement, and after.

Why the job is worth it
All the lender policy and the paperwork comes down to this: a client, a sign, and a SOLD sticker that is finally hers to put up.

Three things we won’t compromise on
If you can’t borrow what you hoped, we say so, and show the fastest path.
Charles, first call to keys. No call centres, no hand‑offs.
$0 broker fee on most home loans. The lender pays a commission, disclosed in writing before you apply.
Comparing brokers? Good, you should. Our guide to choosing a mortgage broker in Sydney lists the questions worth asking anyone, including us, and broker or bank covers what changes if you go straight to a lender.
Questions people ask before getting in touch
Are you licensed, and can I check?
Yes, and you should. Charles is Credit Representative 579003 and the business, My Home Loan Experts Pty Ltd (ABN 62 695 528 959) trading as Links Property Finance, is Corporate Credit Representative 580078, both under Australian Credit Licence 389328.
All three numbers are searchable on ASIC's public registers. He is also an MFAA member, which carries professional standards and ongoing education requirements enforced independently.
Do you charge a fee?
Not on most home loans. The lender pays a commission when the loan settles, disclosed to you in writing before you sign (see what a mortgage broker does). Where a fee would ever apply, you are told before any work begins, not after.
Do we need to meet in person?
Only if you want to. Most of the work happens by phone and video, which is faster for everyone, and Charles meets in person across Sydney when it helps. Distance has never declined a loan.
What areas do you cover?
All of Sydney and Australia-wide. Charles is based in the Inner West, with detailed guides across nine Sydney regions, because local property types change the lending: company title, small apartments, off-the-plan and house-and-land are each assessed differently.
What if my situation is complicated?
That is usually when a broker is worth most. Self-employment, trust structures, credit events, contract income, bridging and construction are normal files here rather than exceptions. A complicated file is rarely a bad file; it is a file that needs the right lender.
